Beyond being a platform for pitching ideas, it also serves as an excellent networking opportunity, fostering connections with students, entrepreneurs, government representatives, international partners, and others.
World Jams is committed to closing the gap between innovative business concepts and the connections needed to transform those ideas into tangible realities!
Our Story
In 2022, Federico Arellano started the Business Management and Entrepreneurship program at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology. This program encouraged students to craft innovative business ventures as part of their coursework. During the second semester, Federico shared the concept of Pitch Jams with Gavin Gervais, a fellow classmate. They both recognized the potential of this idea and were determined to bring it to life.
In the following year at Algonquin College, Federico proposed the idea of hosting an in-person event
called World Jams. This event would provide a platform for individuals to present their business ideas to a live audience comprising of investors, venture capitalists, and other business professionals. World Jams aims to become one of the largest and most engaging pitch competitions in the country.
